Congratulations to the Hilldale Lady Hornet golf team which recently punched its ticket to the Class 4A state tournament with a fourth-place finish at the 4A regionals in Wister.
The Hornets shot a team total 381 which tied them with Poteau for that fourth spot. Jenna Morphis was the leading individual for Hilldale, shooting a 90 to finish 8th. Natalie Cole and Abigail Bennett also finished in the top 15 shooting a 95 and 96 respectively.
Other members of the Hornet team are Ella Roach and Mackenzie Demoss. The team is coached by Kayla Morton and assisted by Oren Sikes.
The Class 4A state tournament will be held May 4-5 in Ardmore.
