With the graduation of six four-year starters, the Hilldale Lady Hornets have some rebuilding to do along the defensive soccer back line for the upcoming season according to coach Michael Foreman.

“We have two returning at center back in Lilly Beverage and Athena Bullock. Junior Caedence Dry will be at defensive midfield spot though she can also play other midfield positions as well and junior Jada Robinson will be a striker. We have several experienced players back in the midfield and up front in four-year starters Ava Soileau, a very talented player and one of our co captains this year, along with Grace Nail while junior Laila Colina will be another co-captain and play her third year in goal for the Lady Hornets.”

Foreman indicated several younger players are coming along quickly and will be filling some of the empty spots on the pitch. Included in that group is senior Maddie Ellis in the back line, juniors Maybre Chastain who will probably play in the midfield, Kenzie Stallings who will be coming back from knee surgery and Charlee Medley who will play on the reconstructed back line. Sophomore Maggie Salat will back up Colina in goal and could possibly spend some time up front.
